Report Released: Public Perception of Climate Change

In an op-ed authored by James E. Hansen, director of NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, in this past Friday's Washington Post, he describes how, Climate Change is Here — And Worse Than We Thought.  According to Hansen,
[i]n a new analysis of the past six decades of global temperatures, ... my colleagues and I have revealed a stunning increase in the frequency of extremely hot summers, with deeply troubling ramifications for not only our future but also for our present.
Hansen's new report titled, Public Perception of Climate Change (the New Climate Dice), has just been published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America (PNAS).  Hansen who is probably best known for his work Storms of my Grandchildren: The Truth About the Coming Climate Catastrophe and Our Last Chance to Save Humanity (2009), which discusses the impact and extent of the global warming crisis, is often referred to as the "father of global warming."  For more information about Hansen's work and publications see below:
