A growing trend is repowering—the replacement of older, smaller turbines with fewer, larger turbines representing the state of the art in power production.
Annual national electrical demand for 2009 decreased in 12 of the 19 countries
reporting. The percent contribution of wind-generated electricity increased overall
and new records were set.
