Tappan Zee Bridge Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) Released
Yesterday, the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) was released for the new Tappan Zee Bridge project. The document which is available here (scroll down to view; organized into individual pdfs by chapter), discusses the different options that are available for the proposed construction of the new bridge. For more information about the different documents, studies and reports associated with this project, New York state has recently rolled out a website dedicated to this issue titled the The New NY Bridge. Of interest to environmental and land use legal researchers, the site has a searchable archive which contains documents, hearing transcripts, handouts and reports on this issue dating back to 2000; it also contains news, calendars and contact information for individuals seeking to know more about the project.
